Safeguard Business Systems Successfully Completes the Divestiture of Enfigo to Flexible Business Systems
Strategic Sale Magnifies Offerings for Safeguard’s Growing Customer Base in Canada

DALLAS, TX – After successfully purchasing Markham, Canada-based Enfigo Corporation in September of 2017, Safeguard Business Systems, Inc., an affiliate of the Deluxe Corporation (NYSE: DLX) and the provider of products, services and expertise designed to help businesses across North America grow, is pleased to announce the company’s recent sale to Flexible Business Systems distributor Bruce Wannamaker. This sale has created a recognized leader in brand management solutions, apparel, fulfillment and distribution, search engine optimization and website development across Ontario.

At the age of 34, Wannamaker was recruited by a major business forms manufacturer in Canada to run scheduling and material management. He transitioned onto the sales side in 1988 where he remained until 1999 as a sales manager. Wannamaker decided that there was an opportunity to go off on his own and became an independent print broker for two years before joining Safeguard as an independent distributor in 2002. Throughout decades of industry exposure, Wannamaker witnessed the transition into the digital age and the diversification of products as a result. His objective through this purchase is to utilize Safeguard’s full range of offerings to better serve customers.

”My goal is to grow the business by introducing customers to the wide variety of products we now have at our fingertips because of this expanded relationship with Enfigo,” said Wannamaker. “When we ran our distributorship solely as Flexible Business Systems, we didn’t have the infrastructure to offer big catalog products, larger runs or more complicated jobs. Now, with the addition of Enfigo, I can offer that to customers to continue growing both businesses in tandem.”

Flexible Business Systems has solidified its foothold in Mississauga by becoming a preferred vendor of cheques and business forms while Enfigo specializes in higher end, full color process work with superior customer service. Through this acquisition, Wannamaker opted to move Enfigo from Markham to Mississauga and will continue servicing existing customers across both markets. Combined, the two will now serve as an even more valuable part of the business community in Ontario.

“I wanted to be able to change the way we were perceived by our client base,” said Wannamaker. “Through their strong background and knowledge in full color work, Enfigo offered a complementary solution that I found critical to making the business more robust and changing our perception from a cheques and forms supplier to a full-service provider.”

“It is extremely rewarding to see our distributors grow their businesses through our proven mergers and acquisitions model,’ said R. Scott Sutton, Vice President of Franchise Development for Safeguard. “Bruce’s passion for the business and determination to succeed have enabled him to continue growing his business, and we are confident that this transaction will only further drive his success and growth across Canada.”
